Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), also known as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), is a minimally invasive medical procedure used to treat aortic valve disease, specifically aortic stenosis. It is a catheter-based nonsurgical procedure to treat leaky mitral valves. It is also called mitral regurgitation.
