Dr Parminder S Otaal is an experienced Interventional cardiologist Practicing Coronary and Peripheral interventions including complex Angioplasty and Stenting since 2004 and is the only formally trained Structural Heart Specialist in the region, especially for TAVI/TAVR, TMVR, Mitra clip, Tricuspid and Pulmonary Valve interventions .
Born in a small village of Ghungrali Sikhan, near Samrala, Ludhiana, Punjab, Dr Parminder Singh Otaal has inspiration for hard work from his father who was a Punjab Government servant as well as an agriculturalist. After studying in same village school, he joined MBBS in 1990 in RNT medical college, Udaipur, Rajasthan. After this he completed his MD Medicine from Govt Medical College, Amritsar in 2000 and DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 2007. He always loved to follow his heart, no matter how hard was the target. ‘Nothing is impossible’ was his motto. In 2008 ,he joined as a Faculty in PGIMER, Chandigarh .Since then he has done thousands of coronary interventions and established him as Interventional Cardiologist. His interest in heart valve disease earned him exposure to advanced study in aortic valve interventions from University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2021. Later he proceeded on for Fellowship in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) and structural interventions including Mitral valve at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Liverpool, UK, where he was trained under esteemed team of faculties led by Dr Appleby Clare .
